There were several groups of guys playing football/soccer on the manicured lawns of the Esplanade des Invalides. The sign below reads "Ball play is strictly prohibited". The gold dome is the Eglise du Dôme, under which Napoleon is entombed.
You'll see several shots of it since it's quite impressive and we kept passing it on our way to our hotel.
