
Since I've only seen pictures of it from the front, I thought I'd get a picture of the back of the statue.
This isn't the only well-known artifact in Paris that I did this with. I think it adds an extra dimension to them (ha!) and actually shows that they're real things, not just pretty pictures on a postcard.

Always looking for the unusual shot of the well-known, here's a shot up the Eiffel Tower from below. The dark perimeter is the first level, up where the legs meet is the second floor where the restaurants are.

Again, looking for the uncommon view of the familiar: Aphrodite from behind.

A side view of the Arc de Triomphe. I always thought it was solid between the faces, but they have these great arches between them. (For orientation, I’m facing south in this picture; I was facing east before.)
