The Wonderland Trail stayed on the west bank of Mowich Lake. The trail became several feet wide for horse trails, reminding me of Duke of Glocester Street in Colonial Williamsburg. Sporadic views of the lake such as this one presented themselves periodically.

A small serene island stood out from the shore of the lake. The white blob is a man, nearly enveloped in his surroundings, relaxing in complete peace.
